Tom Symons did a great job organising this.

We have just returned from Hayle. And must say they did us very very well over there. Trevor gave us a wonderful tour as well as Daisy. 24 all together and I'm sure everyone was pleased with the visit with number of members coming to me to say how well it had gone. Really worthwhile. Cheers Tom.

Mullion Old Cornwall Society

DHYWGH HWI OLL/TO YOU ALL,

Early notification that the date of the first indoor meeting of the 'winter' has been changed, as shown below. This is to enable members to attend the concert/auction at the Methodist Church, on 8th October.

NEW DATE

MONDAY 15TH OCTOBER

A reminder about the Mullion OCS evening on Monday, which starts at 7.30pm, at the Village/WI Hall.

Unfortunately, due to ill health, the guest speaker Jill Woodhead, author of "108 Tudor Bench Ends at St. Mellanus Church" is now unavailable.

After a frenetic 24 hours trying to arrange alternatives, this has now been achieved!

The evening will be a full one, with local presentations about people, events and archaeology. Additionally, there will be displays, incl. the Fingerpost Project, and copies of some of the pencil sketches of Mullion, by Rev. Harvey, 1873. These are from his diaries, and not seen before in public.

So......hope to see you on the 15th, for another positive Mullion community event.

Oll an gwella/All the best,

Colin.

PLUS

More Mullion News from 1898, 1918, 1938, 1958......and lots more!

Poster details will follow on 24th September.
